The submission period for the Austrian Jazz Awards 2026 begins on 28.05.2026 and ends on 25.08.2026, 23:59 (observation period: 26.08.2025 – 25.08.2026). The possibility to register in the "Jazz and Global Music Library" of jazz-related music projects in Austria since January 2022 remains under "ARTISTS UPLOAD".
Mission
Jazz is understood as a transcultural form of music with a high degree of improvisation.

Austria has a highly vibrant jazz and world music scene. To give more public attention to creative musicians, the Austrian Music Council (ÖMR), together with mica-music austria, the Ö1 Jazz editorial team, the IG World Music, and Porgy & Bess were able to achieve a reestablishment of an Austrian Jazz Award.

Entry in the "Jazz and Global Music Library in Austria since 2022" remains open. Please fill out the form electronically to submit your projects.
