All projects (bands/ensembles) submitted so far, in which a total of 208 musicians have participated as of July 8, 2024, can now be seen and heard on the website www.jazzpreis.at under "Submissions", "Artists" and "Projects".
The submission period 1.1.2022 to 15.8.2024 was chosen to give projects that were active during the pandemic a second chance at visibility and audibility.
With the live acts, albums and newcomers submitted so far, a wonderful journey of discovery into the world of diversity of the Austrian jazz scene is already possible and the gala on 5.12.2024 at Porgy & Bass is secured. However, many important live acts, albums and newcomers from the observation period are still missing.
The website is a work of progress. Suggestions received so far were: Possibility of submitting music projects without applying for one of the three categories, reference to the possibility of linking to the mica database.
