The annual Jazz Awards - an initiative of the Austrian Music Council (ÖMR), mica - music austria, IG world music, Ö1 and Porgy & Bess - sees itself as an important platform for making visible and promoting the vibrant Austrian jazz and global music scene.
For 2025, the Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport, the Province of Carinthia, KELAG, the Carinthian Representation of the Film and Music Industry and the Jam Music Lab Private University have been won as funding partners; Ö1, ORF and Concerto Magazin will accompany the award as media partners.
We cordially invite you to attend the award ceremony and the concerts of the winners in the categories "Best Newcomer", "Best Album" and "Best Live Act" and the new category "High Impact Award" on November 26 from 7:30 p.m. at the "Casino Velden", Am Corso 17, 9220 Velden. On November 26 from 5 to 7 p.m., a press reception and get-together will take place at the "Casino Velden" - hosted by the Jam Music Lab Private University in cooperation with the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music (GMPU).
