What has long developed as a friendship is now coming together musically: Paul Schuberth and Carles Muñoz Camarero. The dialogue between the accordion and the cello creates a warm, breathing soundscape – familiar, yet always open to surprises. The accordion traces delicate lines or opens up to orchestral expanses; the cello sings, carries the melody and pulses. Muñoz Camarero expands this sonic spectrum with the nyckelharpa – a rare Swedish stringed instrument, related to the hurdy-gurdy, whose archaic sound has been listed as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2023. Together, the two musicians roam landscapes spanning jazz, classical music and Nordic folk. Their music thrives on attentive listening, on giving each other space, and on the joy of exploring together.
