Anna Maurer

Anna Maurer, whose musical roots span a diverse range of genres including classic jazz trio, Cuban music, soul, hip hop, and classical, now focuses her new program on vocal pieces that straddle the worlds of soul-pop and jazz. Her performances feature catchy yet sophisticated melodies, intricate harmonies, prominent rhythms, and captivating grooves. In her compositions and songs, characterized by her unmistakable personal style, she explores emotional storytelling and pays tribute to specific individuals, such as in "Being Teresa." She performs on stage with her trio, consisting of Thomas Milacher on bass and Harald Tanschek on drums. Her father, Christian Maurer, saxophonist, often joins the project and will also be featured on the upcoming album planned for fall 2025.
