Project Description
Hamel | Plattner is the electroacoustic duo by clarinetist and composer Thelonious Hamel and drummer, composer and producer Max Plattner. Their live performances emerge entirely from the moment: acoustic sounds from clarinet and drums are captured in real time, transformed and reintroduced as new material into the improvisation. Samples, live effects and spatial feedback processes expand the instrumental palette, connecting breath, rhythm and electronic textures into a shared musical language. Between fragile soundscapes, pulsating structures and open improvisation, each performance develops its own form. Following multiple performances in Berlin, Vienna, Linz and Salzburg, the duo continues to develop this collaboration.
