Projekt Beschreibung
The quartet DRiP is many things, but at its happiest it creates progressive music, fuses classical
structures with jazz harmony and juxtaposes complex arrangements with dramatic agogics and
improvisation.
Founded in 2021 by pianist, drummer, and composer Danny Rico, the erstwhile trio released the
albums “Artificial Anus" (2022) and "Forest People" (2024) with the Label jazzit:edition.
At the beginning of 2025, the trio was expanded to include London guitarist Nick Linnik
(@nick.linnik).
In a wonderfully crazy week at the beginning of January, new compositions were rehearsed,
performed, recorded, and turned into videos.
In several previous collaborations between Nick and Danny, the albums "Derek Trotson" (2011)
and "Threads" (2013) had already been created.
