Project Description
Jazz vocals were Mary Broadcast’s initial area of study, and singing and performing jazz songs remains her great passion to this day. For a new jazz side project, she has assembled a group of four female musicians: Elena Holzer (guitar), Julia Radschiner (piano & vocals), Andrea Fränzel (double bass), and Raphaela Fries (drums). For years, Mary Broadcast has championed the visibility of female musicians through her "HER" event series. Back in 2005—long before the topic was widely discussed—she founded "SISTAS," one of Austria’s first all-female bands. This new jazz supergroup of female musicians offers yet another opportunity to experience women on stage and to hear Mary’s unique vocal timbre.
