Lichtsekunden // Ambient Jazz
Following the release of their two albums "World Lines" (2023) and "Inseparable" (2024), which appeared under the individual names of the three Austrian musicians – Markus Bratusa (guitar), Joe Gridl (bass), and Sebastian Felber (drums) – their previously unnamed trio, exploring a space between jazz approach and ambient soundscapes, has now found its name: Lichtsekunden.
The band name is inspired by a unit of distance (it takes about 1.3 light seconds for light to travel from the Moon to Earth), symbolizing musically illuminated moments where time seems to stand still while passing at the speed of light.
In May 2026, the band released a new album called "Resonance" – for the first time under their new, shared banner.
