Inspired by Olivier Messiaen’s Mode 3 from the “modes of limited transposition,” Conic explores its harmonic and melodic possibilities through five original compositions. For the recording, he is joined by Chris Kronreif (saxophone), Fabian Rucker (saxophone), Peter Herbert (double bass), and Max Plattner (drums), creating an ensemble sound that is both exploratory and grounded in strong musical interplay.
