Liner notes: The first gig of this trio was a house concert in my living room in Brooklyn, New York, in the mid-2010s. The energy, spirit and playfulness of that first encounter seem ever-present whenever we make music together. In composing for this band, I kept the melodies and forms simple, leaving plenty of space for the magic of the moment. Personel:
