Album: Luna Rossa Al Belvedere

With our music we want to try to leave a small contribution of beauty in people's hearts, continuing to dream and believe in the magic of art and its power of transformation. The Skylark Quartet consists of four musicians who formed in Basel in 2022 and are united by their love of jazz in its many forms. The group's compositions focus on lilting melodies and accessible arrangements. Influences from rock and Mediterranean music meet traditional jazz forms and harmonies, giving the pieces a pleasant, warm atmosphere. The music of the album is particularly enriched by the participation of the masterful Swiss trumpeter Matthieu Michel.
