in the moment is Following Footsteps' second album after their debut of the same name in 2023. The band was founded in 2021 by Karlheinz Miklin Jr. and is the perfect vehicle for him to realize his very personal ideas about music for the first time as a leader and composer after a career spanning more than 30 years as a band member and sideman. While the four musicians followed the very personal footsteps of their leader even more closely on their debut (SWR 149/23) with interpretations of one track each by Karlheinz Miklin Sr. and The Base, they have since developed a collective, unique and independent sound through years of intensive collaboration.
