Album: Porzellan

doubleMe3's debut album Porzellan opens a space where acoustic instruments and electronic production merge into a reduced yet surprisingly rich sound world. The limitations of a harmony-less trio encouraged the band to develop its own language between contemporary jazz, experimental pop and electronic music. Effects and subtle production techniques expand the sonic possibilities of double bass, saxophone and drums, resulting in compositions that are both energetic and intimate. Inspired by the raw material porcelain, the album reflects fragility and resilience. Carefully crafted structures, moments of collision and broken fragments coexist throughout the music, yet always find their way back together. Like porcelain itself, these pieces reveal an unexpected strength.
