Martin Eberle and Benny Omerzell—whose work with Kompost3, 5K HD and many others has made them integral figures in Austria’s musical landscape—bring their sonic worlds together in a new work for the Jazzorchester Vorarlberg. A rhythm section rooted in electronic music and indie rock meets the warm, shape-shifting colors of brass and woodwinds. Grooves unfold into clouds of sound; textures swell, dissolve and reassemble. The music moves freely from bare minimalism to overflowing maximalism, from a room-shaking roar to an almost sacred whisper, from filthy distortion to luminous clarity. A meeting of worlds where rawness and tenderness, noise and silence, pulse and atmosphere become one.
