Album: Water and Sky

My new CD “Water and Sky”, released in January, 2025 and recorded in 2012 in Vienna, features a quartet with whom I’ve played for 20 years and recorded 3 CDs. The music that I composed for this recording is acoustic, deeply grounded in the jazz tradition both compositionally and stylistically, and expresses my artistic vision as musician very directly. The 8 compositions reflect my inspirations and interests, with a mix of meters, tempos, moods, rhythmic feels and compositional structures. The album is dedicated to the memory of my late wife and musical partner for over 25 years, singer and saxophonist Sheila Cooper.
