Album: Pool

The band HI5, founded in Tyrol and consisting of Chris Norz (drums and percussion), Philipp Ossanna (guitar), Matthias Legner (vibraphone), and Clemens Rofner (bass), demonstrates with their seventh album POOL a bold commitment to consistency. After eventful and active pre-COVID years with concerts and tours in China, India, Japan, the USA, Canada, and Mexico, HI5 spent two years working on collaborations with the radio.string.quartet and the Jazz Orchestra Tyrol. This creative and artistic momentum continued in September 2023 during a residency in the Tyrolean mountains, where the new album POOL was created. POOL is a classic HI5 album, where improvisation and sophisticated compositional elements are balanced as always. The album draws a broad and dynamic arc, bringing to light quiet, br
