'gemeinsam' (= together) – the debut album from Austrian singer-songwriter ams [a em es]. It features nine new songs and a bonus track, each telling a different, relatable story, all connected by one thing: a sense of community. Is it political? Or is the album just full of love songs? Both, dear reader! From a very personal song for her niece ('de sunn'), to a socially critical look at cruise ships (bonus track 'traumschiff'), to a song about cronyism that made it into the top five of the FM4 Protest Song Contest in 2025 ('unta freind'), ams addresses the issues that concern her in an authentic and honest way. And she does so mostly with a double meaning, witty lyrics, and a great groove.
