Album: System Overload

The album comprises seven original compositions by band leader Max Glanz, which combine elements of prog rock and jazz. In addition to effected saxophone, synthesizers and ambient sound design, there are also many acoustic passages on the record. In order to develop this genre mix into a functioning and sophisticated sound concept, in which elements such as odd meters, sequencing, metric modulation, etc. form the basic building blocks of the compositions, the band had to tinker with the delicate balance between complex rhythms and harmonies. The credo is the “flow”, which should always be present - no matter how complicated the music may appear on the music paper.
