Album: material

With „Material“, the Viennese trio other:M:other – Judith Schwarz (extended percussion), Arthur Fussy (modular synthesizer), and Jul Dillier (prepared piano) – presents their second album. Unlike its live predecessor, „MetaMorph“, this is a studio album conceived as a cohesive whole, comprising seven tracks (from *erosion* to „resolution“). Starting with reduced musical material, the trio develops complex sonic textures through their interplay, blurring the lines between composition and improvisation. At the same time, „Material“ reflects on the concept itself – between consumer society, origins, and the question of what truly matters.
