Walter Baco's solo concerts defy any stylistic categorization. Rooted in the jazz tradition, he develops at the piano a distinctive musical language in which improvisation, composition, and spontaneous shaping of form merge. Each performance arises in the moment and remains unique. His playing combines modern jazz with contemporary music and free improvisation. Rhythmic density meets lyrical expanse, powerful sound clusters meet meditative stillness. He moves effortlessly between atonal soundscapes, folk-like simplicity, and spherical sound spaces. His live performances captivate with intense presence and a dramaturgy full of humor, irony, and existential depth.
Primarily short performances as an opening highlight within the "Rote Brille" chamber concerts at the Roter Salon or Altes Rathaus in Vienna, and at the University of Graz
