Newcomer: Anna Maurer

Anna Maurer, born on September 14, 1995, in Upper Austria, studied jazz piano and vocals at MDW, MUK, and the Conservatoire de Paris. Her trio, the Anna Maurer Trio, has been active since 2012 and quickly developed its own distinctive creative direction. In 2019, they released their first instrumental album. Together with Christian Maurer, she leads the band Zweimauer, which released the album "Jumble" in 2024. Currently, she is working on a new album with her trio, where she will showcase her talents as both pianist and singer. In addition to her own projects, she regularly composes, arranges, and conducts for the Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra. Other projects as a bandleader include Manteka and Friida.
