Hristijan Risteski is a Macedonian-born saxophonist, clarinetist and composer based in Graz. A KUG jazz saxophone graduate and current master’s student, he has performed across nine European countries, from small ensembles and theatre productions to big bands and jazz orchestras. His collaborations include the KUG Jazz Orchestra with Vince Mendoza, the National Jazz Orchestra of North Macedonia with Alain Pérez, Styrian KlezMore Orchestra and Kalata. In 2026, he received the “Goce Dimitrovski” Award for Best Young Jazz Artist in North Macedonia. His international quartet features Marko Churnchetz, Hrvoje Kralj and Chris Smith. His debut album “Waters Dance” combines contemporary jazz, classical influences and Macedonian rhythmic traditions.
