Alex Metalinos is a guitarist and composer based in Graz, Austria, blending Mediterranean tradition, acoustic music, improvisation, and cinematic storytelling. With years of performances across Greece, the UK, and Austria, he has appeared at festivals including Edinburgh Fringe, Indie Motion Graz, Aqua Jazz, and Music Diaries Festival. Creator of the Hook and Riverhand techniques, he has studied with Giorgos Samaras, Michalis Paouris, and Anton Oparin, and collaborated with artists such as George Kontrafouris and Lefteris Kordis. His work has received a UNESCO Piraeus and Islands award.
