Anna Tsombanis studied jazz saxophone in Dresden and completed her master’s degree with distinction at the MUK in Vienna. She has been composing for various ensembles for several years. Her debut album, featuring exclusively original compositions, was released in 2020 on the Vienna-based label “Rote Welt Records.” In addition to concerts in Germany—performing with artists such as Django Bates and the WDR Big Band—she has become a firmly established part of the Viennese jazz scene. She has performed with the Ralph Mothwurf Orchestra, Christian Muthspiel’s Orjazztra, her own trio, and in independent theater productions with the E3 Ensemble. In 2023, she received a scholarship for Music and Performing Arts. In 2025, she released her new album "Essentials" with the new project TSOMBANIS4.
