Newcomer: Moritz Lindner

Moritz Lindner (2004) is a drummer, percussionist, and composer from Upper Austria. Growing up in a musical family, he was strongly influenced and supported by his father. He received his education at POP-BORG Linz and is currently studying at the Anton Bruckner Private University with Herbert Pirker and Stephan Maass. Encouraged from an early age, he gained experience in various orchestras, big bands, and contemporary music projects. Moritz is the main recipient of the Joe Zawinul Award (2023) and also received the Dr. Josef Ratzenböck Scholarship. In late 2024, he was part of the theater production TEMPO at the Phönix Theater Linz. With his quartet Roundabout, he released the EP SIDEQUEST in 2025, which he also co-produced. Performances have taken him to various stages around Europe.
