Newcomer: Luca Weigl

Luca Weigl is a musician playing double bass, electric bass, producing music using computer and effects and composing. Besides his studies at Anton Bruckner University he (co-) found bands like oh alien, doubleMe3, FreeTrees, or Foobyrds and is playing in many other formations as well. The focus always was on creating his own music and developing his personal style and sound. With his newest trio he released an album in June 2026 with his own compositions and they are selected for the NASOM program 2027/2028. In the last years he experimented with music for solo double bass and the next release will be a solo album recorded in a church.
