Newcomer: Thilo Seevers

Thilo Seevers, pianist, keyboardist, and electronic sound designer, combines his training in jazz and classical music with interdisciplinary sound art. Shaped by his youth in Germany and Brazil as well as his studies in Austria and Sweden, he has released six albums as a (co-)leader and performed in 19 countries. In the past 12 months, he has recorded albums with Sound Pollution Eclectic and Jan Lovšin, and composed electronic sound works for dancer Clarissa Rêgo and photographer Lara Ovídio. As a co-leader, he tours Europe with LILAMORS. In 2024, he received the BMKÖS Start Grant, and in 2025 he was awarded the Kulturraum Styria scholarship. In Graz, he curates the Jazzwerkstatt Festival as a platform for progressive, cross-genre music.
