Newcomer: Max Plattner

Der Standard describes Max Plattner as a musician with “a unique voice on his instrument” and “artistic vision and authenticity”; UK Jazz News calls him one of the “young shooting stars of Austrian jazz.” The award-winning drummer, composer and producer (Outreach Young Masters, TonArt Tirol Jazz Award, NASOM) works at the intersection of jazz, improvisation, electronic music and interdisciplinary formats. He develops original projects with Max Plattner Trio, PLOY, Fudge Summer, Nageem and Hamel | Plattner. Nominated for the Austrian Jazz Award in 2024 and 2025, he has performed at Jazzfestival Saalfelden, Jazzfest Berlin and Jazztopad Wrocław, and worked in film and theatre. His collaborations include Andrea Motis, Fabian Rucker, David Helbock and Ruth Goller, among many others.
