Newcomer: Martin Iaies

Argentinian guitarist and composer Martin Iaies is emerging as one of the most promising new voices in European jazz. With his Quartet—whose latest album New Beginnings features Julian Argüelles—and his 11tet, which recently recorded his 1st album featuring Klaus Gesing and many of the young rising stars of the Austrian Scene, he showcases a powerful and distinctive artistic vision. Beyond these ensembles, he leads his Chamber Ensemble, exploring new orchestral textures. As a dynamic bandleader, Iaies brings together exceptional musicians and develops projects that bridge tradition and innovation.
