The long-standing, productive collaboration between Thomas Gansch and the Zurich Jazz Orchestra under the baton of Ed Partyka has now been captured on the studio recording ‘Neat Little Songs’. The programme consists exclusively of compositions by Gansch, arranged by Ed Partyka. In addition to Gansch, the soloists of the ZJO also take centre stage. The music combines jazz, classical music, folk music and elements from 20th century film music and pop culture - profound and humorous at the same time. Gansch not only contributes his sense of jazz and music history, but also his roots in Alpine folk music and European classical music. All of this is presented with Viennese humour, a great stage show and virtuoso trumpet playing.
