In “You are who you are supposed to be”, we dedicate ourselves to the fascinating biography of Jazz musician Billy Tipton - an artist who lived as a man for decades and was only “discovered” as a woman after her death. In a clever combination of music and storytelling, a touching portrait of a life beyond conventional categories unfolds on stage.
The program builds a bridge between Jazz as an expression of personal freedom and the courage to live one's own identity beyond expectations. It is musically finely crafted, relevant in terms of content and touches the audience deeply - a live experience that lingers on.
