No sooner do you put the new album by the Barbara Rektenwald Trio into the CD player than you find yourself right in the thick of things—somewhere between Buenos Aires and the Blue Danube—drawn into moods ranging from "Valentine's Day" to "Zerstörung" (Destruction).
