On THE BEAUTY IN BETWEEN, you hear solo cello, vocals, electronics, and beats – a genre-fluid soundscape.
Coming from a classical background, Sophie Abraham significantly expands the boundaries of classical music in her compositions, drawing influences from folk, pop, and electronic music. The pieces range from solo cello works to layered cello arrangements and richly orchestrated compositions featuring up to 30 layers of cello, vocals, and beats.
THE BEAUTY IN BETWEEN is Sophie Abraham’s second solo album, following Brothers (2021).
