Projekt Beschreibung

"Klemens Lendl's whispered words convey all the defiance a thinking person can muster in times of multiple crises. In his tried-and-tested manner, he plays the sad clown for ten numbers, who, despite all the stupidity of our non-committal times, does not want to let the joy of making music together, of the casual romp, but also of world-weariness and heartache be taken away from him. This attitude cheers us up – and we desperately need it! (…) In doing so, they prove themselves to be masters of sonorous nuances as well as biting social criticism, inviting us to groove along thoughtfully and passionately wonder at the state of the world. Intelligent sardonic humor meets brilliant joy of playing, the unbearable lightness of being dances a hop-tapping waltz with complex song structures. (…) "Sieben Zwetschken" succeeds in capturing many things simultaneously: the joy of playing of a good-humored ensemble, the spark of spontaneity of genuine jazz musicians, the intimacy of a soulful Storyteller, but also the defiance of the individual in the midst of an unclear world situation, in other words, the zeitgeist – without pandering to it.” (Press release excerpt)
