Album: AANÄ

The album is an attempt to unite opposites: juxtaposing the abstract with the simple, the experimental with the emotional. Folk music elements are integrated alongside jazz, improvisation, sound art, and hip-hop. And on an emotional level, outbursts of anger are integrated alongside moments of grief, introspection, and humor. AANÄ is dedicated to my ancestor. The author and lyricistist Julian Dillier (1922–2001). Poet and thinker. Uncle and quasi-grandfather. AANÄ is dedicated to the things one can sense or feel, but cannot name. To the somehow. The shades. The subtle intertones, undertones, and overtones. AANÄ is dedicated to embracement. To accept strengths and weaknesses, allowing vulnerability, saying yes to oneself.
