Album: Stories & Melodies

The Christian Groffner Quartett released its debut album "Stories & Melodies" in December 2024. The title says it all: the pieces tell little stories – sometimes with a wink, sometimes thoughtful – or thrive on catchy, characterful melodies. Christian Groffner, on trombone and vocals, is joined by Hubert Gredler (piano), Simon Schmollgruber (bass), and Lukas Böhm (drums). Musically, the band moves between modern jazz, intimate acoustic soundscapes, and singer-songwriter elements. With "Stories & Melodies", the quartet delivers a debut full of narrative depth, subtle humor, and sonic variety – a musical statement with personality.
