Album: In Her Footsteps

“In Her Footsteps” tells the story of Viennese world traveler Ida Pfeiffer in nine original compositions. Inspired by her journeys and her drive for freedom, Martin Listabarth develops a contemporary jazz language combining poetic storytelling, improvisation, and influences from classical music and pop. Together with Gidi Kalchhauser (bass) and Sebastian Simsa (drums), he creates a dynamic trio sound full of atmosphere, interaction, and surprising turns. Released in 2026 on the German label o-tone music, the album combines carefully composed dramaturgy with improvisational openness.
