Album: Bangers & Ballads

Bangers & Ballads grew out of a musical encounter at the Salzburg Festival in 2021. Philipp Schiepek and Lorenz Widauer met there as musicians performing in Jedermann and soon decided to develop a project of their own. Together with Michael Acker (bass) and Matheus Jardim (drums), the idea grew into a quartet that continues to develop the compositions through playing together. The album brings together pieces by Schiepek and Widauer, moving between energetic moments and quiet, lyrical passages.
