Born in Tehran in 2004, Avin Ahmadi studied at Tehran Music Conservatory before moving to Austria, where she now studies jazz improvisation at Anton Bruckner University. Since launching her solo career at Porgy & Bess in 2023, she has quickly established herself as a distinctive emerging voice within the Austrian and international jazz scene. In 2025, her solo project Qayeq was selected for NASOM 2025/26. Her debut EP Liminal was named among Beehype’s Best Albums of 2025 and presented at a sold-out concert during Vienna’s Salam Music & Arts Festival. Her collaborative album Until We Meet Again with Lorenz Widauer also received positive international reviews. Her work connects Persian music, jazz and improvisation through a clearly recognisable artistic voice.
