Newcomer Resume

Aseo (*1996) is a jazz pianist and composer from Vienna. He began playing the piano at the age of six. Later in his youth, Aseo discovered his love for jazz. Soon after, he formed his first trio, with which he won first prize at the Podium Jazz Competition in Austria in 2014. In 2021, Aseo was selected as a finalist at the Leiden Jazz Competition. With the Loek van den Berg Quintet, he received the Edison Prize (Dutch Grammy) and second prize at the Getxo Jazz Competition. Aseo studied at the MUK Vienna and the Codarts University and graduated with honors from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. The pianist has collaborated with renowned jazz musicians such as Jim Black, Miho Hazama, Michael League, Joost Lijbaart, Jules Barkley, and the Jong Metropole.
