Project Description
Transparent is the result of a Jazz Road Creative Residency during August 2026. The suite of compositions was written in response to the stories and worries expressed by parents of transgender children. Rising transphobia and concerns about discrimination and safety drove the discussion and the need for advocacy. The album has been featured in the Top 50 of the US Jazz Week Charts since 20 weeks, peaking at #4 and will be featured with an article in the August issue of DownBeat Magazine.
