Project Description
Language is everyday life, a means of communication and the basis for the exchange of information of all kinds. From various dialects, dictionaries, life stories, and online chats, a group emerged calling itself Prädikat 6 (Predicate 6). Six subjects search for common accusative objects within the predicate. Through a contemporary formal language, free improvisations, and diverse compositional methods, artist and musician Simon Bauer unites the vision of contemporary jazz and video works with his own words and the poems of Katharina Püschel (feat. vocals) and Conor Ryan to create multimedia jazz works. Based on the idea of a missing harmony instrument, the band's third album was released, elevated from a quintet to Prädikat 6 by Esther Thoben on cello!
