Nina Feldgrill is an Austrian electric bassist and composer. After receiving the Ö1 Jazz Scholarship in 2024, she was given the opportunity to record an album with Quinton Records, which she used to create her debut album „Nina Feldgrill“ (2025).
On this album, Feldgrill presents herself in three distinct ensembles „river“, „Wind’s Whispers“, and „Feldgrill²“, in order to reflect her diverse musical interests. The album is shaped by its stylistic and sonic variety, a strong emphasis on improvisation and interplay, and ultimately by Feldgrill’s distinctive personal playing style. It features a total of nine musicians and nine compositions, written exclusively by Nina Feldgrill and her fellow musicians.
